CHCNAV i76 Palm Visual IMU-RTK GNSS

Small in size, big on features. The CHCNAV i76 combines high-precision GNSS RTK positioning, advanced IMU technology, and two wide-angle cameras into an ultra-compact surveying solution. Weighing only 450 grams, the i76 is easy to carry and enables precise surveying, visual positioning, and CAD-based stakeout directly in the field.

Survey accurately – without unnecessary adjustments

The i76's 5th-generation Ultra-IMU enables automatic tilt compensation at angles up to 60 degrees. The surveying pole does not need to be perfectly vertical, which speeds up point collection and simplifies work on uneven terrain and construction sites.

Key benefits

  • GNSS RTK, IMU, and visual surveying in one device
  • Ultra-compact design, weighing only 450 g
  • 1892-channel GNSS receiver
  • RTK accuracy up to 0.8 cm + 1 ppm (H)
  • 200 Hz 5th-generation Ultra-IMU
  • Automatic tilt compensation up to 60°
  • Dual 2 MP wide-angle cameras
  • CAD + AR-based visual stakeout
  • Visual navigation and surveying
  • Built-in 410–470 MHz UHF radio
  • Up to 17 hours of battery life as an RTK rover
  • IP68 protection and 2-meter drop resistance

Visual surveying everywhere you go

The i76's two 2-megapixel cameras provide a 95-degree field of view, incorporating visual surveying into traditional GNSS workflows. The cameras enable visual navigation as well as AR stakeout based on CAD data, allowing project plans to be visualized directly over the physical environment.

This facilitates the staking out of elements such as pipelines, building foundations, boundaries, and other planned objects. According to the manufacturer, CAD + AR stakeout can improve work efficiency by up to 40 percent.

Precise positioning for challenging conditions

The i76 utilizes full GNSS system support with 1892 channels. The CHCNAV iStar 2.0 technology and the upgraded StellaX GNSS chip are designed to improve signal tracking and interference resistance in challenging environments.

According to the manufacturer, the i76 achieves over 96 percent reliable fixed RTK solutions even in areas with high solar activity.

5th-generation Ultra-IMU

The 200 Hz Ultra-IMU makes the i76 a fast and flexible surveying solution. Thanks to tilt compensation, measurements can be taken even when the pole is not perfectly vertical.

Tilts of up to 60 degrees can be compensated for automatically, reducing the need for bubble leveling and making it easier to measure in confined, uneven, and hard-to-reach locations.

CAD + AR – visualize plans directly on-site

The combination of the i76 and LandStar software brings CAD data into visual stakeout. The AR view helps visualize the location and direction of planned objects directly in the field.

This solution is particularly well-suited for staking out building foundations, construction sites, pipelines, and other infrastructure.

Compact size – demanding performance

The i76 is designed to be easily portable. Weighing only 450 grams and measuring 106 × 55.6 mm, it is an exceptionally compact GNSS receiver.

Despite its small size, the device is built for demanding field use. IP68 protection, 2-meter drop resistance, and an operating temperature range of -40 °C to +65 °C make the i76 suitable even for Finnish construction and field conditions.

Versatile connectivity and RTK configurations

The i76 features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, and a built-in 410–470 MHz UHF radio that supports both transmission and reception. This allows the i76 to be configured as both a base station and a rover.

The typical operating range for the UHF connection is approximately 3 km, and up to 5 km under optimal conditions.
